I was able to crank out that Halloween story so quickly it was unbelievable. With that finished, I've gotten back to working on my previous story "The Heist Story" and find myself stuck in quite the rut!
I feel the direction I'm taking it in just isn't going to work for the type of story it is, and I feel stuck on how to progress it. If I write really quickly, it's just going to end up being like every heist movie out there and that's nothing new or interesting!
Bleh, maybe I can get motivated to cut it and start a new path on it and just see where that goes.

Skip it (the heist story) for now, work on another Halloweenish kinda tale - inspiration can't be forced, you can only go with the flow. Lol, just got done talking about a series of caper/crime drama books I'd like to get back to! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parker_%28character%29

That's exactly right! If you force the idea, it's not going to come out like you want it to. I think I will start up a different project in the meantime! Thanks for the advice :D
That seems like a very interesting series actually. That's like exactly the style I'm going for. I'm not usually one for reading but I might have to check that out. Thanks for the suggestion!
